We're SO excited to host Chef Evan Funke & his crew from Felix Trattoria (Motherwolf & Funke) in Portland for a two-night, guest chef dinner.
Evan Funke is a custodian of Italian tradition and a master of the old world techniques of handmade pasta. The two-time James Beard-nominated chef brings more than two decades of excellence to his critically acclaimed restaurants – Funke in Beverly Hills; Mother Wolf in Hollywood, Las Vegas at the Fontainebleau Hotel, and Miami's Design District; Felix on Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice; and Tre Dita at the St. Regis Hotel in Chicago. Featured in Netflix’s Chef’s Table: Noodles and the acclaimed docuseries Shape of Pasta, Funke’s culinary storytelling extends to his award-winning cookbook, American Sfoglino. Notably, Funke has been the featured chef for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party since 2022.
If you didn't already know, Louis was Chef Evan's chef de cuisine at Felix Trattoria before moving here to Portland and, most importantly, Evan is Louis’ greatest mentor; it's so, so special for us to have them cooking together again!
Here's what you need to know:
Dinner will be a $135/person 5-course tasting menu (excluding 20% gratuity, beverages, & supplements). An optional $65/person beverage pairing and our full beverage menu offerings will be available.
We will have a strict cancellation policy in place. Tickets for this dinner are NON-REFUNDABLE. Reservations cancelled before Tuesday, April 22nd will receive a gift card in the amount of the purchase to use at Xiao Ye. Reservations cancelled on or after Tuesday, April 22nd and no-shows will not receive a gift card.
We will not be able to accommodate any allergies EXCEPT nut allergies. We will not be able to accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian diets.
